Weaving supplies from the stationery store

I don't blog often, but this discovery is absolutely blog-worthy. I really hate it when my unused heddles migrate over towards the selvedge threads on my warp. I don't know if they're abrading it, but it sure seems like it sometimes.

I've tried tying them up in various ways, and then the string I use to tie them up gets untied and tangled up in the warp, which can cause problems as well.

So I was in the Japanese stationery store yesterday, and noticed these little paperclips.

They fit perfectly on the heddle bars. Easy to put on, easy to take off, and they won't get tangled in anything. That makes me happy.

Update - just finished a scarf with the lovely little clips holding back heddles, and they worked splendidly - didn't budge a millimeter!

Please, will someone please tell me where to purchase these ingenius paper clips. I have found nothing would do the trick other than tying the heddles together, which doesn't make me happy. Thanks. -Catherine

I got them at the Japanese stationery store. But I'm sure not everyone has access to such stores.

If you'd like me to pick some up for you, let me know and maybe we can work out an arrangement.

Nancy, I would like 16 clips, or whatever comes close in the packaging. I could paypal you
or send you a check or whatever is more convenient for you. If two packages would equal 16 or
around that, please get that amount. Whatever you think. Three packages would definitely
suffice, I think. Just let me know. I so appreciate your offer and will happily take advantage of
it. I have checked on line and can't see any evidence of them no matter how I Google the information.

Oh, yes, I would still love some clips. I would need a minimum of 24 and a few more if possible. What do I do about paying you? Would you accept Paypal/cash or a check? I am so happy that you contacted me.

Please tell me how to send my address, as I do not want to post it publically. -Catherine

I think I miscalculated on the number of clips. I have 12 harnesses, so would need 12X4, I believe. I hope this is not too much of an inconvenience. Don't know what I was thinking......only thought about the tops of the shafts and not the bottom. -Catherine

Several people have now expressed interest, so I posted a topic over on Ravelry in the Warped Weavers Marketplace group.

I'll sell them at my cost - $.33 each for the large size, $.22 each for the small, plus shipping.

If you're not on Ravelry, send me an email at ripsmattaATgmailDOTcom.
